I've been checking your blog to find out how you are all doing. Glad you are safe and sane so far. I'll keep you in my thoughts every day. There is nothing like pot roast to make you feel better.

I thought about you just the other day. I'm glad to hear your house is still safe. I know what you mean about little moments of normal - I lived through Katrina and I remember the night it hit and no one had water or electricity, everyone on my street pulled out their grills and started cooking everything in our freezers. For a moment, we were all just at a block party and forgot about all the devastation around us. Stay safe and I will continue to keep you in my prayers!

Oh, my little boy has the same playmat! :)

Something the only thing that helps is some good comfort food and there is nothing more comforting than Pot Roast.

You and your family are in my prayers here.

You're still getting root vegetables with your CSA? Wow. They must have had some year for them last year. I hope you're also getting lots of lettuce and peas and other things that don't actually need to be cooked.

All fingers, paws, and hooves crossed at Blackrock that those waters will stay right away from your house . . . (and Anna. Hi, Anna! I spotted you in that picture all chillin' on your playmat. With Oscar. Awesome.)
